Nebraska Spring Turkey Permits Available January 11th

January 8, 2010.

Nebraska 2010 spring turkey hunting permits go on sale January 11 at 1:00pm Central Time.

The 2010 permit prices, not including issuing fees, are: resident turkey, $23; resident youth turkey, $5; nonresident turkey, $90; nonresident youth turkey, $5.

Additionally, alll turkey hunters, except residents under age 16, require a Nebraska Habitat Stamp.

The archery and youth archery hunting seasons are March 25 - May 31. The youth shotgun season is April 10 - May 31 and the shotgun season is April 17 - May 31.

New this year, there are no longer separate archery and shotgun turkey permits. If you have a 2010 spring turkey permit, you can hunt with bow and arrow in the archery season, and either a shotgun or bow in the "shotgun" season. This is a great change, one we argued for back in May of last year.

You may have up to three spring turkey permits. The bag limit is one male or bearded female turkey per permit.

Check out the regs online.
