2011 Arizona Deer and Sheep Results Available

Given the excitement that usually accompanies this draw, you've probably heard by now that the results for Arizona deer and sheep are now available.

You can check your results online at www.azgfd.gov/draw.

There were more than 107,000 applicants this year, an increase of 3 percent from last year.

Arizona sheep tags are always an incredible long shot, and I was not surprised to receive a NOT DRAWN.

I was disappointed, though, about my NOT DRAWN on deer, as I thought I had a good shot at the tag I put in for.

Getting rejected for Arizona deer leaves my fall lineup a little light. I may try to pick up a last-minute hunt, or I may just bank the money I had set aside for Arizona and save for a sheep hunt in 2013? Definitely getting a sheep hunting itch again....
