Neighborhood Bobcat
May 9, 2011.
Driving home from work on friday, I saw a neighborhood dog sitting at the base of a big ponderosa pine and staring intently straight up.
He obviously had something treed, so I slowed down to check it out.
Way up in the tree was a big bobcat.
The dog got spooked when I stopped and ran off.
I figured the odds of ever stumbling across another treed bobcat were right around zero, so I called my wife and asked her to drive up the road with a camera.
Pretty cool experience. The 3rd bobcat I've seen in my life.
