Remington Discontinues the SP-10!

Word is getting out that Remington has discontinued production of its legendary SP-10 autoloading 10 gauge shotgun.
Production reportedly ceased in January, 2011.
The SP-10 has always been held in high esteem by waterfowlers, and was named the Best Quality Goose Gun by Field and Stream magazine, which noted "The gun’s near-11-pound weight and gas system makes shooting the heaviest nontoxic loads practically painless."
Like a lot of hunters with a grudge against turkeys and geese, I am now scrambling to come up with $1,600 so I can get an SP-10 before existing stocks are depleted.
Remington, why have you forsaken us???
