Deadline to Apply for Arizona Elk, Pronghorn is February 14

If you haven’t yet submitted your application for the draw for Arizona’s 2012 elk and pronghorn antelope hunts, the deadline is approaching. Applications must be received by Tuesday, Feb. 14, by 7 p.m. (MT).

Remember, a 2012 Arizona hunting license is required to apply in the draw. If you haven’t already purchased your license, you can do so through the draw application process. Please keep in mind that if you are purchasing your license online, you must have a working printer handy and print your license out at the time of purchase. The department does not mail out licenses that are purchased online.

Copies of the 2012 Pronghorn Antelope and Elk Hunt Draw Information Booklet are available at www.azgfd.gov/draw.

I put in for both species this year -- high-end hunts with steep draw odds. Not holding my breath on these two apps, but I guess you never know. My complete list of apps is on the Hunt The West homepage.
