Apply Now For Kansas Deer

May 30, 2008.

Apply by June 2 for the 2008 Kansas deer season. To apply online, go to the KDWP website and click on "Begin License/Permit Purchase."

Licenses are $344.50, applying for a preference point only is only $21.50.

Remember, this is the first year that you will not be able to purchase transferable licenses from landowners. If you want a Kansas deer license, you have to get one through the application process.

The 2008 Kansas deer seasons include:

  • Regular Firearm: Dec. 3 - 14
  • Youth and disabled: Sept. 13 -21
  • Muzzleloader-only: Sept. 22 - Oct. 5
  • Archery: Sept. 22 - Dec. 31
  • Early Firearm (Deer Management Unit 19 only): Oct. 11 - 19
  • Extended antlerless-only whitetail: Jan. 1 - 4, 2009
  • Extended archery (DMU 19 only): Jan. 5 - 31, 2009.
