Vegetarian Poacher Busted in Oregon

An Oregon vegetarian, who police say engaged in a "serial-type killing of wildlife," has been charged with poaching, wanton waste, and a variety of other charges.

The man would reportedly drive around at night, identify the eyes of deer with a spotlight, fire towards the eyes, then flee.

A sawed-off .22 rifle with a homemade silencer was the suspect's weapon of choice.

And, as noted in the headline, the poacher acknowledged to police that he's primarily a vegetarian.

The man is believed to have killed over a dozen deer and left them to rot.
