Grizzly Bears Sighted on Vancouver Island

December 26, 2008.

British Columbia's Vancouver Island, famous for it's monster black bear hunting, now appears to be home to a handful of young male grizzlies.

Officials suspect three or four sub-adult male grizzlies are responsible for this year's several sightings, having paddled and island-hopped their way westward from the B.C. mainland.
